Supporting Churches Together In Ottery (CTIO)
Despite its turbulent history, Ottery URC in the 21st century has a great relationship with other fellowships in Ottery. CTIO operates a Food Bank to serve members of the town and surrounding areas who find themselves in food crisis. This is hosted in our church hall.
Supporting the OSM Community Market
As a church we operate the Ottery Community Market. This is held every month except January on the last Saturday of the month from 9:30-12:30 at the Institute on Jesu Street.
Supporting preschoolers and their parents and carers
Our toddler and pre-school children’s group meets in the hall on the third Tuesday of the months from 10:00 – 11:30. See Seedlings (Toddlers and Pre-School Children)
Every other month there is a Men’s breakfast held on a Saturday at ta local venue. Details are listed in the monthly church bulletin available from the church vestibule and the calendar page.
Other community groups
The church is also involved in a number of other aspects of Ottery St Mary and the surrounding area. The church and hall are used by the Brownies, Later Life Table Tennis, the Choral Society, Warblers and La La Choir rehearsals. Other community groups
